A 9KG cylinder holds 8.5KG or roughly 16.5 liters of gas. There are 25 Megajoules of energy per liter of gas, a total of 416.5 Megajoules of energy. For an appliance that has a maximum consumption rating of 24 MJ/HR it will use (on high) 24 Megajoules of energy per hour. So, 416.5 (Total amount of energy in cylinder) ÷ 24 (Appliance rate of consumption in MJ/HR) = 17.4 (Total number of hours operation)

It is normal for the glass panels to accumulate dust and carbon deposits during ongoing operation. Clean the glass frequently to maintain the appearance for the fire table when it is operating.

Lava rock is porous and will hold moisture if it is sprayed with water or exposed to rain. If the rock becomes wet – it must be allowed to dry completely before the appliance is operated.

The lava rock may accumulate dust and carbon deposits during ongoing operation. Cleaning the rock is best done by removing it from the burner tray and placing it into a strong bag and give it a shake to remove the majority of deposits. Vacuum any dust from the burner tray before carefully replacing the rock. Avoid washing the rock as will cause moisture to build up in the rock – which will cause the rocks to pop or crack during operation.

These are recommended safety clearances to combustible materials around and above the appliance as measured during the testing and approval stage.

The Milano series is approved for use with a standard 9KG POL fitting gas cylinder.

The glass panels will not break unless they are subject to an impact or excessive force from over-tightening of the mounting screws. (See appliance instructions). The glass surround panels are made from tempered glass which will break into small pieces if impacted.

Tempered glass (also known as safety glass). Tempered glass is around 3-4 times stronger than ordinary glass and is designed to resist breaking in normal use. It is designed to be safely used with the high temperatures experienced with the fire tables.

The Milano series gas fire tables are designed and approved to run on LPG only. They are not approved for use with Natural Gas and cannot be converted to Natural Gas.

Both. Milano fire tables are designed to provide both a visual effect of flame and heat. There are two important considerations here: 1. Most of the heat produced by the burner is in the form of radiant heat (which radiates outwards).

If you are close to the fire table you will feel more heat than if you are positioned further away. Another important consideration is that it is difficult to heat an outdoor space as it is impossible to contain the heat.

All models are supplied with a basic polyester protective cover. Replacement covers of various sizes are available in the Polytuf range – normally available at your retailer (Bunnings) or as a CSO.

Product does not need regular servicing. However, periodic care, cleaning and owner maintenance as per the schedule in the appliance instruction manual is recommended – with an inspection and service by a qualified gas technician recommended at 2 year intervals.

Each unit has a data plate attached to a metal chain which is accessible from inside the unit (where the gas cylinder is located) – this identifies the product as well as including all required regulatory information.

No, this product must be used in accordance with the supplied assembly and operating instructions – operating the fire table with the glass panels removed is a safety hazard.

Follow the instructions supplied with the heater. Generally – cleaning is easy. Use a soft damp cloth with a little mild detergent added. Wipe the unit over to remove dust and stains as required.

No, the unit should be stored under cover when not in use – always use an appliance cover to provide maximum protection.

Most glass cleaners will also be suitable for cleaning the glass on this appliance. Check the label on any cleaner before using it to clean this appliance. Some cleaners are flammable – check the safety warning label.

Occasionally, a piece of lava rock may have moisture inside it, when heated, the moisture expands causing the rock to pop or crack. remove any pieces of rock that pop or crack and dispose.

Décofire fire pits are designed for outdoor use only.  We do not recommend to use them indoors.

Depending on the arrangement of your outdoor area, it is always best to place your fire pit in an area that will not only maximise its affect but is also safe. Ensure the fire pit is placed on an even level surface away from any building structures.   We recommend that there is a minimum of 3 metres clearance above the fire pit and 1.5 metres clearance around it away from combustibles.  Do not place the fire pit on unprotected decking or tiles.

When not in use, the fire pit should be protected from long term exposure to the elements.  Move the fire pit to a covered outdoor space or store the unit in a dry environment. Some fire pits like the Orbis and Huracan have an additional bamboo tabletop available (sold separately) that can convert the fire pit to an outdoor coffee table, extending your enjoyment in the warmer months.

Generally the fire should always be allowed to die out naturally.  However if immediate shutdown of the fire is required, use sand to smother the flames. We do not recommend using water as it may buckle the steel pit and crack the surround due to the sudden change in temperature.

Décofire fire pits are designed to burn wood only.  We do not recommend to burn coal or coal briquettes.

We recommend that you burn dry, seasoned hardwood as they will burn hotter and create less smoke.

No we do not recommend that any food or metal be used on the fire pits.

Maintaining and caring for your fire pit is with just a few simple steps.

• Never clean the fire pit or bowl when it is hot
• Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners, sprays or highly abrasive cleaning tools
• Do not use high pressure water blasting devices to clean the surfaces of the fire pit body as this may damage or remove the surface coating
• Always check any cleaning product on a small area of the underside of the product to confirm it is safe to use
• Empty the sand or any debris from fire bowl into a bucket
• Gently scrub the fire bowl with a sponge (or old scouring pad) with a mild detergent and warm water
• Rinse the bowl with clean water and allow to dry

All our fire pits come with a 12 month warranty.

Do not expose your table top to direct sunlight, rain or moisture over prolonged period of times. After each use, wipe the bamboo table top over with a damp sponge (not wet and dry off with a soft cloth or towel.
